Scarpa Rush TRK Gore-Tex is the latest member of the successful Rush family. It takes support and protection to the next level with a suede leather upper backed by GORE-TEX® and a rubber toe cap for guaranteed protection against weather conditions. The upper balances the light and agile feel of a trail running shoe with the support and protection you expect from a hiking boot. Underfoot support, protection and traction are provided by the special PRESA® outsole with Interactive Kinetic System (IKS) Technology. The IKS system features shock-absorbing internal domes placed in key ground contact areas that act as mechanical shock absorbers; SuperGum rubber compound provides secure grip on any terrain you encounter. The Dynamic Stabilizer Torsion frame supports the arch and hugs the heel on both sides, providing great rearfoot stability and torsional control, so you can tackle whatever the terrain throws at you with confidence.

Presa® is the end result of SCARPA's internal sole R&D. An environment of discovery and technological innovation where experience and scientific research combine.

Each Presa® sole is carefully developed with the shoe's context of use in mind. Measurement of key performance indicators (including grip and resistance on dry and wet surfaces) is crucial in choosing the best sole for the activity for which the shoe is designed.

SuperGum

SCARPA's exclusive SuperGum rubber compound was developed to provide equal or better slip resistance compared to other high-friction rubbers, but with far superior abrasion resistance. It is formulated to provide high friction performance in both wet and dry conditions, but also offers 3 times greater resistance to wear.

IKS (Interactive Kinetic System)

The Interactive Kinetic System is the only design that simultaneously increases traction and provides greater shock absorption off-road. The IKS base has five concave impact zones that compress and absorb energy as it touches the ground; this allows the secondary lugs to then make contact with the ground, further increasing traction.
