The highly breathable upper mesh is supported by our EXO internal support matrix inspired by the structural elements of the Golden Gate Bridge.

Welded PU reinforcements on the upper provide additional structure, support and abrasion resistance.

The Adaptive Cushioning System (ACS) combines two densities of high-performance EVA to provide cushioning and energy return.

The forefoot and midfoot feature higher density EVA, which provides rebound and “spring” during the toe lift off the ground, returning energy to the wearer.

Low-density EVA in the heel provides excellent cushioning for training.

EXO

Superstructure system designed by SCARPA. The lateral protection (inserts or thermally welded cage) combined with the upper creates an exoskeleton that better protects, supports and holds the foot.

ortholite

Ortholite is an open-cell PU foam with great resistance to compression set (less than 5% compression set). The open-cell PU construction provides exceptional breathability and the formulation also contains 5% recycled rubber content, providing enhanced rebound while also reducing impact on the planet.

SCARPA's exclusive SuperGum rubber compound was developed to provide equal or better slip resistance compared to other high-friction rubbers, but with far superior abrasion resistance. It is formulated to provide high friction performance in both wet and dry conditions, but also offers 3 times greater resistance to wear.
