Nikwax Down Proof Waterproof Wash Purple for Goose Down

DOWN PROOF is a product that provides waterproofing for fine goose down clothes and products through washing application. It adds water repellent properties and revitalizes insulation and breathability. DOWN PROOF provides excellent waterproofing for down-filled sleeping bags and clothing. It increases water repellency, restores insulation and breathability. It is a water-based product that is easy to use, provides waterproofing and protects down and goose down filled materials against water-related insulation loss. For best results, remove all non-washable parts and clean with Nikwax® Down Wash Direct. Use Down Wash Direct and Down Proof in separate wash cycles. There is no need to pre-dry the product to make it waterproof. Shake well before use. Wash in accordance with the product's instructions for use. Machine Washing: Clean all residues from previous washes in the detergent tank. Place clean laundry into the washing machine (maximum 1 laundry). Use 3 scoops (150 ml) for 1 load of laundry in the bucket. Wash in accordance with the product's instructions for use. Hand Washing (Use Gloves): Immerse clean laundry in enough water to avoid burning your hands. For clothes: Use 3 scoops (150 ml) for 1 load in the bucket and 6 scoops (300 ml) for 2 loads in the tub. Immerse the items completely in water. Repeat the process for sleeping bags, draining the water and gently pressing the bag to remove excess water. Mix by turning upside down. Let it soak for 5-10 minutes, then turn it upside down thoroughly. Rinse the clothes in cold water until the water runs clear. Drying: Dry 3 times on low speed. Use spin drying on a low setting if specified in the product's instructions for use. Do the drying piecemeal and repeatedly. To maintain waterproofness, use Nikwax® Down Wash Direct.
