Salomon is a sports equipment manufacturing company based in Annecy, France. The company was founded in 1947 by François Salomon, his wife and son. The company became part of the Adidas group in 1997.

Gore-Tex

Gore-Tex is a fabric technology that is waterproof and yet breathable. Products produced with this technology are absolutely waterproof, even if they are left under the rain for hours. Despite its waterproof structure, Gore-Tex is a thin fabric and thus offers ease of use.

PFC Free

The Gore-Tex coating process, which is used to prevent fabrics from being waterproof, is produced without using chemicals containing perfluorinated compounds (PFCs), which are harmful to the environment, following years of warnings from the international environmental organization Greenpeace.
